But not only Siena, Villa Enima is located in the heart of Chianti Classico with its unique and original villages, castles, villas and the best producers of wine and olive oil of Gaiole in Chianti and Castelnuovo Berardenga. This land is rich of museums linked to man’s life, from the landscape museum to the one of terracotta, of olive oil, of farms, and in the Val d’Elsa, the crystal museum. And passed the fascinating hills of vineyards the itinerary brings to the superb landscape of the Siennese Crete: these are characteristics calcareous land waves marked by deep erosions and with rare wood areas. The Crete change colour following the different seasons (from purple to gold and to white) and they are the depth remains of a not very deep sea disappeared more than a million of years. Here it is possible to visit Abbeys and Monasteries originated from the Tenth century and they keep important art collections and precious archaeological finds. The use of this water comes from the Roman Empire and the powers of this thermal water are extremely precious, as for its mud, its specific herbs treatments and its homeopathy therapies. Today two thermal resorts are available: Antica Querciolaia and Terme S. Giovanni.
